Hey! It's Giacomo Cerino and I'm a Software Developer located in Copenhagen. I've worked with startups, international companies and consulted for Italian professionals.

I worked with Python, C++ ,Docker, Ros2 in Robotics environments. But also with Rhino3d, Tensorflow, Java, Bash during my internships and university projects. My studies as a computer engineer on every aspect of the computer functioning: from the bare metal architecture of caches, through cpu pipelines, a bit of assembly, to operative systems, programming languages, multi-process and multi-machine computation and through network, artificial intelligence, web and cloud technologies. Still, what I grew most passionate about is fast prototyping, Robotics, IoT.

TUI Development

ERLEtek, a robotic startup, asked me to design a TUI for their robotic test platform. I designed a Terminal User Interface to request and execute missions in a ROS2 environment that would control the robot. And with the help of AI tools, I was able to speed up the implementation process significantly.

While I was working at AIT in Vienna, I conducted a feasibility study for a vision system that could be integrated into a WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) industrial 5-axis machine.

Puff Regharge

I couldn't stand the sight of so many puff e-cigarettes thrown away or left on the ground. Especially because even if they're design to be disposable, one-time-use items, they stll have a rechargeable li-ion cell inside. So I developed a solution to repurpose these batteries and give them a second life.
